Build the numbered square used for writing a taweez.
The page builds more than one kind of square, and says which kind it is showing. In the classical magic square, every row, column and both diagonals add up to your number, and the figures around the edge are those totals so you can check it before copying. When no such square exists for your number — which is true of roughly a quarter of totals — a square built from your number as a base is offered instead, and its constant, stated beside it, is not your number. The woven square is different again: your letters laid in the traditional weave, not a magic square at all, and not presented as one.
The order is not a matter of taste: the sources tie each square to the planet governing the work, and the older books assign Jupiter to provision and learning, Venus to progress and livelihood, Saturn to building and to what is hidden, and Mars to matters requiring force. Copy the figures exactly as they are laid out, and check the totals printed around the edge against your number before you write anything.
These are traditional practices about which scholars genuinely differ, and some hold parts of them to be impermissible. This site takes no position on that question and is not a substitute for a qualified scholar. Use your own judgement. Terms.
